Valle presents on Digital Health Interventions to Promote Physical Activity and Weight Management for Cancer Survivors at ASPO’s annual meeting

UNC Lineberger’s Carmina G. Valle, PhD, MPH, was an invited speaker at the 43rd annual conference of the American Society of Preventive Oncology (ASPO) in Tampa, FL and presented during the conference symposium on Innovative Strategies for Enhancing Participant Engagement, Intervention Delivery and Data Collection.


Valle, who is an assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, reported on Digital Health Interventions to Promote Physical Activity and Weight Management among Cancer Survivors. Valle described the state of the science and shared findings from her team’s work on developing and evaluating digital behavior change interventions to promote physical activity in young adult cancer survivors and improve weight management in African American breast cancer survivors.
