Population Science Shared Resource

The UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center is one of 70 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers

The Connected Health Applications & Interventions (CHAI) shared resource is a NIH-funded shared resource. CHAI has been supporting researchers since 2000. This has resulted in extensive institutional knowledge and experience with research along the cancer continuum, from prevention to treatment through survivorship.

The purpose, goals, and objectives of the CHAI shared resource are to offer state-of-the-art resources and techniques for the development of high-quality and rigorously-evaluated behavioral science interventions aimed at health promotion and disease prevention in populations at risk.

Some of our collaborations have included focus groups with tobacco users, online symptom tracking for bone marrow transplant patients, user-testing with patients with prostate cancer and their caregivers, wearables tracking and tailored feedback for endometrial cancer survivors.
