Health Works for Women was designed to help women who want to improve their health by eating healthier, being physically active, quitting smoking, or managing their stress.
Educators and researchers at the University of North Carolina's Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention teamed up with an advisory committee of local community members to create this unique program. Since 1993, over 2000 women in eastern North Carolina have participated.
