One of the great things about FoodSmart is that each participant gets
to choose which parts of the program they want to watch, and in what order.
Based on the way an individual answers the initial questions, FoodSmart
will recommend segments that may be most helpful. However, people are
still free to view the soap opera, game show, or other nutrition topics
first.

each type of segment used in the FoodSmart program is provided below...

"SISTERS
AT HEART"
The
storyline follows a gripping courtroom drama where a woman is on trial
for the murder of her unfaithful and very wealthy husband. Just when
it looks like she is headed for jail, a key witness arrives and reveals
the husband was not killed by his wife, but rather by high fat foods!
This soap
opera is focused on adult health and teaches participants about proper
nutrition to promote health and prevent chronic diseases like cancer
and heart disease.

"
BABY
OH BABY"
A
woman who is initially faking her pregnancy in order to gain inheritance
from her deceased lover, learns the healthy choices she must make to
play the part of an expecting mother. The plan begins to fall apart
when she learns she truly is pregnant by her current boyfriend, and
it only gets worse from there!
Mixed in
with this storyline there are important messages about prenatal nutrition
to help keep mother and baby healthy. This segment is great for any
adult who is expecting, or plans to become pregnant.

When a user reports they are not eating
the proper amount of fruits and
vegetables from their answers to the initial question set, FoodSmart
will recommend that they view this section and receive specific tailored
information about this topic.
This segment gets more specific
information about a persons diet, and then scores their habits based
on current healthy recommendations
Other
topics include: dietary fat,
fiber, calcium, and weight
management

"YOU
BE THE JUDGE"
This game show features a celebrity judge who quizzes
participants on their knowledge about planning a balanced, low-fat meal.
Based on how the user answers, the Judge will provide correct answers
and explanations about how to better choose foods that are low in fat.
This section
helps people avoid common misconceptions about foods they may think
are low in fat, but indeed are not.
Other
game shows include:
"Baby Feeding 101 which focuses on infant nutrition, and
"Name that Food which focuses on healthy food choices
Due to the interactive nature of the game
